I practice Reiki for life

Most people don’t know that I am level two Usui Reiki certified. And you may wonder what does that mean. Well, it means I’m a healer. It means I have been given the gift of assisting other human beings to heal on multiple levels. I am eight generation, but for those who don’t know what that means. It means I am eight in line from the original Reiki Master and I was attuned by a seventh generation Reiki Master. That’s quite an honour and powerful Reiki linage. It is important to note that one can only practice Reiki if they have been through the attunement process and training, when the Reiki is transferred from the Master to the student.

Reiki is an energy called Qi or Chi (life force energy) which is delivered through the hands of the Reiki practitioner to the receiver putting them into a very relaxed and healed state and allowing the Chi (life-force energy) to flow to them. Often when I am delivering Reiki to someone, I will get hot hands, they will tingle and sometimes they go numb and I can’t feel them until I have completed the healing. But I know the energy is flowing. Reiki is used to assist the body with healing. There are a lot of people out there that think if I do Reiki on them then all their worries, stress’s and problems will go away. Often thinking health issues are healed in one session. However, its important to remember that Reiki can be extremely powerful in changing peoples lives, but, it is not the fix all cure to every ailment and problem. It is a healing modality that if used over time works to raise the vibratory state of a persons energy to help them function in a more positive and optimal capacity. It is a method for cleansing the energetic field of the human body, which lays at the outer of the body. Many, or most if you like, are unaware of the debris we collect that over time pulls us down and negatively impacts our lives and decisions. Reiki is used to clear that space and replace is with new life force energy. Reiki assists the body to heal itself.

I am very aware and would like to make you aware that each person has seven major energy centres throughout the body. These are called Chakras. Now there a many many more throughout the body, however, these are the main, larger and more well know energy centres. They consist of the crown chakra, brow (or third eye) chakra, throat chakra, heart chakra, solar plexus chakra, sacral chakra and the root chakra. Each with its relative colour and governs different areas of our being. For example, the root chakra is red and representative for stability, sex, it is the foundation or the blue throat chakra governing our communications. One of the very ancient Arts of Qigong is centred around energy flow and clearing the energy centres for healthy balance and harmony.

Reiki changed my life for myself and for others. It gave me a sense of control in a would that feels like it is spinning out of control. It gave me the ability to heal myself and help myself when I need it. When life feels overwhelming, using Reiki helps me to step outside of it and be an observer for a while. It gives me space. It brings me back to my centre and helps me feel balanced and grounded again. I honestly cannot imagine my life without the ability to do this or how I would cope in this over stimulating and demanding world.

Reiki is not something you get attuned to and then goes away. Reiki is for life. You have the ability forever. And I’m glad of that because it makes me feel like I always have some way of helping someone that is in pain, or struggling or needs support. I am able to offer something of use to someone. And that makes me feel good.

Reiki opens up our energy centres to let new light in, it opens your heart and often after it, people experience changes within themselves and their lives. Making way for positive changes and realignments with our true hearts desires.

Quite often I use Reiki for general use, at home or at work. It really comes in handy with kids. If my daughter is not feeling well or is upset with something, I can put her to sleep with Reiki. Or if I’m at work and feel stressed I will lay Reiki on myself, and I also help my colleagues when they are feeling ‘not themselves’, stressed, upset, sore or anything really.  It’s nice to be able to help someone out. I can draw on Reiki healing as soon as I put my hands on someone or something, the healing energy with flow to it.

Reiki is such a powerful healing tool, yet its gentle in healing, almost as though it knows what that person needs and gets to work. I used to live with very bad anxiety which now doesn’t bother me. I think just knowing that I am able to subside it with Reiki in the past and changing my energy over the time of using Reiki, has given me the peace of mind and calmed my mind of worry. If I am concerned about something, I treat myself first then I deal with whatever the issue is. It seems to change your physiology.

I’m so happy to be able to share this with you. If I had never taken the step and followed my curiosity and instincts I would never have found Reiki, and never have become able to heal. So, if you think you can’t do something or you don’t have any control, just have another think about what you may be able to do to help yourself or improve you life or someone else.  I love Reiki and I hope  that you do to!
